Dr. Aisa O. Manlosa is a social scientist who applies qualitative and mixed-method approaches in interdisciplinary research to address pressing sustainability issues in the context of the Global South.
She applies social science research to ensure that approaches for addressing sustainability challenges, such as environmental degradation, foreground human well-being, human agency and social justice.
Key areas in which Manlosa has undertaken research include synergies between biodiversity conservation and food security, rural livelihoods, human agency in livelihood and social-ecological systems research, gender research and gender transformative approaches, food and nutrition security, and institutional change for sustainability transformation.
