Anne-Cécile Turner

Anne-Cécile Turner is an experienced practitioner, committed to bringing about meaningful change. She has been educated on some of the world’s top programs for sustainability, including on the Harvard Executive Education for Sustainability Leadership program, at the Tavistock Institute and on the WWF One Planet Leader program. She also has solid international experience in marketing, sponsorship and management spanning brands, NGOs, media, sports and sustainability.

In 2009, she founded Blueshift, an agency specializing in sustainability consultancy to help organizations on their journey to greater sustainability. In 2011, Turner was named director of the Race for Water Foundation, which aims to identify, implement and promote solutions for plastic waste and water and ocean preservation to achieve a new social circular economy. In 2016, she joined the Volvo Ocean Race as Sustainability Programme Leader to help the event to reduce its environmental impact, optimize its sustainability potential and use the power of the race to create positive change in ocean health on a global scale. Since 2019, she has been pursuing the innovative sustainability program developed as part of the Volvo Ocean Race, now known as the Ocean Race.
