Documentation: A Productive Ocean

The ocean is the world’s largest ecosystem, which billions of people depend on for their lives and livelihoods. Every second breath we take comes from the ocean. Fish and seafood are a major source of food for billions of people. Industries such as tourism, energy, and transportation are dependent on the ocean for jobs and income. The ocean truly is productive for life on our planet.

The seventh Ocean Decade Laboratory was titled “A Productive Ocean” and discussed these issues with stakeholders from all over the world. In this five-minute summary, we take you through the highlights of the Laboratory, which took place from 31 May to 2 June 2022.
