Before she entered politics as a member of the Swedish Green Party she was an award-winning journalist focusing on culture and environment. She has published two books: Silent Seas – the Fish Race to the Bottom 2007 (on over-fishing in Europe), and very recently Oceankänslan – om behovet av en ny berättelse, 2022 (The Oceanic Feeling, not yet published in English).
