Jeanne Everett is the Director of Program and Operations for the Blue Climate Initiative, a multi-year global program engaging innovators, community leaders, scientists, investors and global experts to accelerate ocean-related strategies that address the climate crisis.
She is passionate about helping entrepreneurs, women, youth and vulnerable communities mitigate and adapt to the impacts of climate change using inclusive technical, economic, institutional and scientific solutions that preserve and honor nature, culture and of course the oceans.
Everett’s strength is in understanding the grassroots level and its multiplicity of stakeholders, capacities and cultures, building strategies, leading teams and forging partnerships between government, private sector, civil society and communities for greater resilience in a cleaner future.
She has 20 years of experience as an international development professional, leading teams and supporting local stakeholders in overcoming infrastructure, climate change, economic and environmental challenges in 12 countries, most of which are in Asia and Africa.
