Dr. Subrata Sarker is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Oceanography, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). He received an M.Sc. in Marine Science from the Institute of Marine Sciences and Fisheries at the University of Chittagong in 2010, followed by a postgraduate qualification in Observational Oceanography from the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research (AWI), Germany, in 2014.
He completed his Ph.D. degree in 2018 for his research on “Drivers of Phytoplankton Dynamics in the German Bight” from Jacobs University, Germany. His teaching and research areas include the blue economy, marine ecology, non-linear dynamics modeling and coastal oceanography.
